Challenge
Treedom is the first platform in the world that allows you to plant a tree from a distance and follow the story of the project online. Treedom’s objective is to grow trees, or “green the planet” as they put it, and educate the public on the difference trees make for our planet.
Founded in Italy, Treedom is well known among Italians. On other markets in Europe the awareness is still low. The Italians needed an impactful introduction.
Solution
An awareness campaign that ran between Earth Day and World Environment Day. The idea was to showcase the growing process by creating larger than life murals on sides of buildings in London, Berlin and Milan. By growing the trees in three steps we were able to build anticipation and highlight the positive impact trees have on the environment.
In addition to the murals, the campaign consisted of digital material, PR and events. The campaign was activated across six European markets, Germany, Spain, Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands.
